Though I didn’t write a sequel, I did write another Bittersweet Dreams novella, A Shooting Star, which Dreamspinner Press is releasing this fall. Readers tell me they love laughing and crying along with Harold, and many begged for a sequel. An obsession that lasts twenty years in the novella. Readers fell in love with Harold as Harold obsessed in his infatuation with Mario.

It was very exciting, and still is!įiona: What inspired you to write your first book?Īudience members loved An Infatuation and wanted more. When theatre companies produced my plays and audiences loved them. My hit novella, An Infatuation from Dreamspinner Press, began as a one-act play.įiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer? When my acting work wasn’t coming in, I began writing plays. Since acting and writing are both storytelling, I’ve always considered myself a writer. Readers are also enjoying solving the mystery right along with them.įiona: When and why did you begin writing? Readers are falling in love with Nicky and Noah as they fall in love with each other. In Drama Cruise, Nicky and Noah go on a cruise to Alaska, and discover why college theatre professors are going overboard like lifeboats while Nicky directs a murder mystery dinner theatre show onboard ship. In Drama Muscle, Nicky and Noah have to find out why musclemen are dropping like weights in the Physical Education department while Nicky directs the Student Bodybuilding Competition. In Drama Queen, Nicky and Noah have to uncover why college theatre professors are dropping like stage curtains while Nicky directs the college play production-a murder mystery. The next two books should be released over the next year. The audiobook should be out next month, narrated by a very talented actor, Michael Gilboe.

My Nicky and Noah comedy/mystery/romance series premiered this month from Lethe Press with the ebook and paperback of Drama Queen. Also, like Martin Anderson in my Drama Queen novel, I am a college theatre professor/department head. Moving on to playwriting and ultimately writing novels seemed like an obvious next step. We forced our parents to watch every one-including the lavish musicals! After college I became a professional actor, working in film, television, and theatre opposite stars like Rosie O’Donnell, Nathan Lane, Bruce Willis, Charles Keating, Jason Robards, and Holland Taylor. As a kid I was the star of the plays in my friend’s garage. I remember my mother mopping the floor while singing, “Let Me Entertain You” from the musical Gypsy, and my father wrapping a sweater around his waist and singing, “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair” from South Pacific while smoking a cigar. I come from a very funny and theatrical Italian-American family. A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc
