I'm really tired of the Jeff/Nina/Daphne storyline so nothing for them lol. Marshall and Sam dancing together at the Queen's Ball, Teddy and Beatrice having at least one romantic date. If I were McGee's editor, I would've suggested adding some scenes in book 1 to give these characters something to build off of. Reviews for Majesty seem to be the lowest in the series and I think the dramatic change in relationships turned a lot of readers off entirely. I understand the desire to "subvert expectations" but in my observations, audiences don't like being played like that. Why did Katharine McGee give little to no indication of the relationship roulette that would happen in Majesty?

I'm rereading American Royals (because Queen Elizabeth II's death has sent me down a royalty spiral) and with all that I know from reading the series so far, the first book reads like the pilot of a show that drastically changed writers room.
